Ziad Abaza started his Career at Merrill Lynch in 2007 in the investment banking global industrials group. In 2010 he joined the Telecom M&A team at Perella Weinberg partners where he executed more than $30bn of M&A transactions over the next 5 years, before leaving to join DPI in 2015. Since joining DPI, Ziad has been responsible for the firm’s investing activities in Egypt, where DPI have a large exposure and a successful track record of investments and exits. Ziad sits on the boards of BTECH, MNT-Halan, EGIC, Kazyon Limited and Marcyrl, and works closely with his companies on various initiatives.
Ziad graduated from the University of Bristol in 2007 with a B.Eng in Engineering Design. He is a dual citizen of Egypt and the UK, and speaks English, Arabic and French.
