Marc Stoneham

Partner, Portfolio Management

Marc joined DPI in February 2015 and became a Partner in 2021, leading our Value Creation team. He is passionate about building world-class African companies and stimulating global investment into the continent. He works closely with our portfolio company CEOs to drive growth and the execution of our value creation plans. He currently serves as a member or observer on the Boards of B.TECH, MNT-Halan, Food Concepts, Cofina, Pan African Towers, CMGP, and MoniePoint.

Prior to DPI, Marc worked at McKinsey & Company serving global clients principally across Africa and the Middle East.  Prior to McKinsey, Marc worked in private equity at Actis and Kingdom Zephyr, and for Accenture . He has lived and worked across Africa including many years in Nigeria and Egypt.  He speaks French and English.

Marc holds a BA(Hons) in Modern History from the University of Oxford (1st class) and an MBA from INSEAD (Dean’s List).  Marc is a British citizen.
