Folarin joined DPI in July 2014 and became a Partner in 2023. He has over 18 years of private equity and investment banking experience and currently serves on multiple boards including Solevo Group, Food Concepts Plc, Pan African Towers, Moniepoint Inc, and Weaver Fintech (JSE listed).

Prior to DPI, he was an investment professional at Helios Investment Partners where he evaluated investment opportunities across multiple industries in sub-Saharan Africa. Prior to Helios, Folarin worked in investment banking at Credit Suisse within the Leveraged Finance and Restructuring group in New York.

Folarin has a BSc. (Hons) in Computer Engineering (summa cum laude) from NJIT and an MBA in Finance and Entrepreneurial Management from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.  Folarin is a Nigerian and British citizen.
