Meet Our Team

Ashley Lewis is the Managing Partner and Head of DPI Venture Capital. Before DPI, she was a Partner at Accion Venture Lab, focusing on African fintech investments. Ashley has 20 years of experience in finance and social ventures, including roles at Goldman Sachs, Vanguard, and LGT Venture Philanthropy. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Morgan State and an MBA from HEC Paris.

Mohamed Aladdin is a General Partner at DPI Venture Capital. Before DPI, Mohamed was a Principal at Global Ventures, overseeing investments across the Middle East, Africa, and Pakistan. Mohamed has over a decade of experience in venture capital and holds an MSc in Business Administration and Engineering from Berlin University of Applied Sciences and a BSc from the German University in Cairo.

Charlie Watson is the Chief Operating Officer at DPI Venture Capital. Charlie was the first hire into DPI’s strategy team helping set the firm’s strategic direction. Before DPI, he worked at Bridgepoint Advisers and JP Morgan Asset Management. Charlie holds a BSc in Accounting and Finance from Loughborough University and is a Chartered Accountant (ACA, ICAEW) and a CFA Charterholder.

Omar El Kholy is an Associate at DPI Venture Capital and was part of Nclude’s founding team, joining in November 2021. Prior to DPI, he worked in Global Ventures’ North Africa and Levant team. He also gained experience at Ahli United Bank, Deloitte, EFG Hermes, and Banque du Caire. Omar holds a bachelor’s degree in International Finance and Economics from  George Washington University.

Salma Farouk is an investment professional at DPI Venture Capital, bringing experience across venture investing and operations. Prior to joining DPI VC, she was part of the investment team at Nclude, focusing on early stage fintech and digital innovation. Salma holds a BSc in Economics from the London School of Economics and a Master’s in Analytics and Management from London Business School.

Yomon AlMallah is Head of Community at DPI Venture Capital, building networks that connect founders, investors, and industry leaders. Previously, she was a Marketing Associate at Nclude, driving fintech innovation in Egypt and MEA. She also held marketing roles at Flavor Republic, SODIC, and CairoWest Publications. Yomon holds a BA in Communication and Media Arts with high honors from AUC.

Saif is an investment professional at DPI Venture Capital with experience in private equity and project management. Before joining DPI, he worked as a Private Equity Analyst at Beltone Financial and previously led a North America-wide fulfilment center optimization project at Amazon.
