Omar joined DPI in August 2008, having previously spent 2 years as a Vice President at Oasis Capital Egypt, which is part of CI Capital Private Equity, in Cairo. While at Oasis Capital, Omar was involved in all aspects of the private equity investment process including deal prospecting, structuring and valuation. Before this, he was a Business Consultant at Integrated Services & Consulting and an Equity Research Associate at EFG-Hermes, both in Cairo. A Medical Doctor by training, Omar holds a Bachelor of Medicine and General Surgery from Cairo University School of Medicine (1997) and an MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario (2004). He is a citizen of Egypt and Canada.
